Bosnian Father Denied Jihadist Accusations
The father of the Bosnian girl Sabina Selimoviç, who was reported to leave Austria to fight with jihadists in Syria, denied all the accusations.
Bosnian father Sabit Selimoviç, living in Austria with his family, stated that the accusations regarding his daughter Sabina’s leaving her home on 10 April to fight in Syria were not true at all. Father Selimoviç stated: “The news of her going to Syria to participate in jihad in order to go to heaven, are all untrue. Some photos of her in headscarf also appeared, which are not true, either. How can a child decide to fight in a war? Even we old people cannot do such a thing. My daughter is a successful student, she has been kidnapped and there are some people behind this thing.”
Selimoviç claimed that the only information from his daughter is that she left from the Wien Airport for Turkey. “I contacted the Wien Airport as soon as she was lost and learnt that she left for Turkey. As far as I know, Turkish authorities were also informed about it and they are searching for my daughter.”
