Condolences in the USA
The USA and Ankara made Erdoğan give condolences to the Armenians who suffered genocide in 1915, for their own agenda.
The USA and Ankara together planned Tayyip Erdoğan’s “message of condolence” for the 1915 events. The final text of the USA was formed with expectations.
According to diplomatic sources, the Washington administration supposedly threatened the AKP government in terms of the 100th anniversary of the genocide. At this stage, the court's decision on Doğu Perinçek and Turkey's position has been significantly strengthened. However, the AKP prefers to seek a formula that will satisfy the USA.
The Turkish threats have given reassurance to the USA’s and Armenian’s diaspora. In this respect, it was decided that an agenda would be created one day before Obama's statement. While the "condolences" for the Armenians who lost their lives in 1915 is emphasized, focus was also put on the day of 24 April.
